'Eyes of Time'

Is time an illusion? Eyes of Time, resembling an owl, explores the idea that the past, present, and future coexist, inspired by the philosophical theory of Eternalism. This concept-where all moments in time exist simultaneously-guided the creation of a sculptural work that blends traditional Persian craftsmanship with contemporary conceptual art. At the center of the piece are two functional clocks: the left clock moves counterclockwise, symbolizing the past, while the right clock moves forward, representing future evolution. Fragments of steel mirrors placed between them reflect the present, defined by the observer’s gaze. Entirely handmade, the piece is constructed by weaving traditional Persian threads through meticulously placed nails, forming a tactile structure that anchors the conceptual narrative. Eyes of Time invites viewers into an immersive experience, urging them to reconsider time as a construct and engage with its fluid, unfolding nature.
