Samin Mirdavoudi, born in 1991 in Tehran, Iran, is a multidisciplinary artist whose medium of choice is threads. Initially studying architecture, she discovered her true passion for art and has pursued it ever since. Utilizing this versatile material, she creates intricate shapes, patterns, and textures that offer a multitude of interpretations, akin to solving conceptual puzzles with threads.
Her first collection, “I Am A Woman”, explores themes of identity, femininity, and empowerment through the innovative fusion of string art and oil painting. Inspired by the concept of ‘time’, Samin has recently embarked on a new collection titled “Suspended in Time”, aiming to revive forgotten and hidden philosophical ideas. She also offers custom-made string art pieces for interior design and installations under the collection “Mega Threaded Creatures”, using unique and rare threads of Persian textiles and crafts.
Her latest ambition is to construct grand installations in public spaces, spreading positive messages of love, peace, hope, and unity to uplift people during challenging times.

Threads are more than mere objects to me; they symbolize the profound concept of connection. From the grand to the minute, threads weave together the fabric of humanity, linking diverse locations and mindsets. They create a symphony of movement, guiding us through the dance of life. Threads represent the growth of one’s personality, evolving from a small bobbin to a mature, intricate mind. They bridge the gap between reality and imagination, forming a world where every element, whether tangible or intangible, is interconnected. In my art, threads are the lifelines that bind the puzzles of existence, creating a tapestry that transcends the boundaries of the seen and unseen.”
